Two projects, six songs, one long story about Warri, faith, and money that refuses to add up.
Gospel of the Street
EP · February 2025
A four-track EP recorded in a single week, wrestling with faith, money, and the men who sell both.
Gospel of the Street is Longwave's most personal project — two years after his grandmother's church raised money for a new roof that never got built. The EP pairs a stripped, piano-led sound with his sharpest writing yet, questioning the business of belief without ever mocking the believers. "Religion Na Scam" became the most-shared song of his career within a week of release.
Waves From Warri
Album · November 2024
The debut album — twelve tracks recorded between a home studio in Warri and a borrowed church piano.
Waves From Warri is Longwave's debut full-length, built over eighteen months while he was still playing weekend sets at Number 1 Gate. It's the sound of a city he refuses to leave — Warri's horns, Warri's slang, Warri's traffic — pressed into highlife grooves and afrobeats percussion. The album moves from hustle anthems to love songs to the protest record that made his name, "Who Dey Waste 9ja."
